Growing up, I have seen many therapists throughout the years. They’ve been young, old, female, male, etc. All different types, all different personalities. After each visit, I would still feel unfulfilled. I’m not going to sit here and lie and tell you they haven’t helped at all, because they did, in their own special way. But there was something still wrong, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I still left mumbling under my breath, “They still don’t get me.”
Therapists are very psychological and logical, and clearly these are requirements of them. BUT I am a firm believer that all problems and issues are not best solved logically. I’ve heard logic, and it makes sense. But sometimes you have to dig deeper and ask for help through meditation and prayer. If you think this sounds absurd, let me assure you, I’ve seen some illogical things happen….
I guess what I’m trying to say, is that I BELIEVE faith and spirituality beat logic any day. Those really deep issues you are trying to fix probably need a miracle and miracles don’t happen by telling a random stranger your issues.
I have never been more sure of who I am today. I have finding consciousness and asking myself the hard questions to thank. It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do, but I did it. I did a ton of soul searching without the guidance of a therapist. I just had the guidance of the universe, and that’s all I needed.
What I do recommend, if you absolutely need a helping hand, is a life coach. A life coach assists in accomplishing goals and deciphering who you are as a person. I find this type of guidance to be beneficial and more focused on spirituality than psychology.
Let me just be clear, therapists are great people and a very respectable profession. Sometimes things can’t be fixed by logic. Sometimes you need to dig deeper than that into your heart as opposed to your mind……
