No, I didn't fall and hit my head. There's really a movement called The Spiritual Revolution.
I absolutely can’t stand when people try to push their beliefs on you. So this is not that kind of post. I promise, whatever you believe is just as valuable as what I believe. BUT, there’s a thing called IGNORANCE, and I’m seeing it used so fluently by people these days. Being ignorant is a hallucination, and many people are living in this hallucination. They do not live in a reality.
What does this mean exactly? There’s no denying that the lifestyles of millennials are WAY different than those of our baby booming parents. I know this, because on a somewhat daily basis, my parents and I butt heads about how I should be living my life. According to my mom, I should be living with my husband, and not a roommate, somewhere in the suburbs, taking care of little rugrats. According to my dad, I should be living by the beach, and not paying expensive city prices for less square footage. But what they don’t seem to understand is that I am a very liberal millennial and my lifestyle includes city life and culture. This is who I am, and I am conscious of what will make me happy. I am spiritually aligned, and I KNOW a baby, a husband just to BE MARRIED AND FINANCIALLY SECURE and a big house will not satisfy me spiritually.
In fact, I read an article the other day about how millennials are GETTING SMARTER in the spiritual sense. We are spending more money on healthy foods, travel, and cultural activities, as opposed to baby boomers, who spent their money on weddings, houses, kids, and home improvements. We’re getting MORE CONSCIOUS, and that’s giving me a lady boner (haha)! We are finally ‘getting’ life. The American Dream isn’t the big house with the white picket fence and the barking dog. It’s the entrepreneur in the decent sized living space, living their dream with a tight group of trustworthy friends and family. It’s the millennials fulfilling their PURPOSE, not just working to make a life. The hallucination is wearing off and millennials are being able to see clearly now….
Love him or hate him, Russell Brand is one of the smartest people leading The Spiritual Revolution. I’ve included a compilation video below of him talking on various shows, about being spiritual minded and being a conscious human being. It’s kind of long but it’s a must see:
If you think this is too ‘woo woo’ for you, then you are not ready. The biggest hallucination in my opinion is the fact that people think they are guaranteed tomorrow. You are not OWED tomorrow. If you are living a life TODAY that you are not proud of or want, you are living in a hallucination. Why do you think I always preach WAKE UP? WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP. The time is now. Aren’t you tired of living in ignorance? I was, and now I’m here and there’s no going back…. Sorry, not sorry!
