My Favorite Gluten-Free Vodkas
After a long week, an extra dirty vodka martini will always hit the spot for me. I tell myself that vodka is clear and made from potatoes so that makes me feel better about ingesting two. BUT the universe is actually on my side because they make a ton of gluten-free vodkas that are so delicious and smooth. Who needs gluten to have fun? Not I! Here are my top 3 favorites.
3. Absolut. The standard classic that is virtually at EVERY bar. This vodka comes from Sweden and is sold in over 126 countries. DAMN. Not as smooth as the rest by still makes it into my TOP 3. Also a winning factor? The variety of flavors. It’s nice to mix things up sometimes!
2. Ciroc. I love this vodka particularly because they derive it from grapes, as opposed to potatoes. This is actually a great alternative for the Paleo diet[ (STRICT PALEO, but then again, if you were strict you wouldn’t be drinking vodka to begin with). They also claim to distill their vodka five times, for a smoother and slick taste. Also, P. Diddy endorses it.
1. Titos. This is without a doubt, the QUEEN of all vodkas. GLUTEN-FREE and distilled 6 TIMES (can’t tell the difference between 5 and 6 times but I am still giving it a shout-out)!!! It is made right here in the U.S.A., Texas specifically. I just found out that the distillery was the first legal one in Texas, which is pretty cool (I love anything legal). It has won many awards for its abundant taste! It’s also distilled from yellow corn, NO GLUTEN, BABY. It’s like music to my ears…..
Well, that’s the list. Hopefully this helps. WARNING! These brands DO include GLUTEN so beware: Grey Goose, Ketel One, Snow Queen, Van Gogh (made from a blend of wheat, corn, and barley), La Chance, Vox, Polar Ice.
Happy Drinking :)
